These blocks are so quick to make, use very little thread and all done in 1 hooping.
Each hexagon block has a 1/4" binding around the edges,
done using the stitch 'n' flip method.
They are quilted and backed, so once completed there is no other work
to be done apart from joining to another block.
This is when the opening is sewn up.
You can use a zigzag or fancy stitch to join the blocks.
Only if you do single blocks as I have done for the coasters & pot holder
will you need to either hand or machine stitch the opening closed.
These are stitched directly onto your fabric, so no other stabilizer is needed.
The back of your project looks just as good as your front, so table runners can become reversible.

Endless projects can be made with these designs, from table runners, placemats,
bags, bowls and bowl covers.

Kids room doily	Baby's room doily



	From a doily to a bag Make a round doily as shown top left. Leave off the wadding and quilting. Attatch tabs to the corners, thread cording, and you have a lovely bag.




From a doily to a bowl Make a round doily as shown above left. Sew a casing on the 6 flat edges. Thread some cording, pull-up a tight.




From a placemat to a bowl. Make a placemat as shown above middle. Sew a casing on the 8 edges. Thread some cording, pull-up a tight. Great for putting bread rolls in, or place an oval platter into. Change the look by having the rightside of the blocks on the outside.
